As per last up date from Alex on his web site the team has reached to the base camp of the world’s highest peak on 2 January along with Pakistani mountain climber Muhammad Ali Sadpara and 7 Sherpas from Seven Summit Treks. Alex wrote: “We are already in Everest Base Camp. This year we have arrived two days earlier than last year. To get here we have gone through the famous Base Camp Trekking, which we have finished in 8 days. We have lived incredible moments since the sun has us every day, except for one. Therefore, we have had the opportunity to capture the best images through photographs full of adventure and beautiful nature. I hope you like them.”

This winter Alex and Muhammad are planning to attempt to climb the Everest without using artificial bottle of oxygen in the winter season and become the first foreigners to summit Everest without using O2. According to the data of Eberhard Jurgalski, who keeps an accurate data of all 8000m peak: only a Nepalese (Sherpa) veteran climber Ang Rita Sherpa has climbed Mt. Everest without supplement of artificial oxygen on 22 Dec 1987. No other climber has repeated the feat after Ang Rita neither in Astronomical (Calendar) 21 Dec to 20 March, nor in Metrological winter 1 Dec to 28 Feb.

In 2016 winter Alex and his team successfully reached to Camp IV, due to the bad weather the team decided to end the expedition, as it was too late to wait for good weather window. Alex and Muhammad both were together in 2016 while climbing Nanga Parbat / Pakistan with Simone Moro.
