Koreans and Sherpas Made first ascent of Kyungka Ri 1 (6,599m) - Unclimbed Peak Ever

As per report, yesterday, on 15 October 2017 the team members of SST Korean Kyungya RI 1 Exp. 2017 made the first ascent of Kyungya (Kyungka) RI 1 which stands with the height of 6,599m and located in Langtang Himal Range in Rasuwa District. “Four climbers: 2 Koreans and 2 Sherpas scaled the peak first time in the history. Six more climbers are also planning to be on the top today” - Chhang Dawa Sherpa, Director at Seven Summit Treks stated.

According to the Government of Nepal (MoCTCA) Kyungka Ri 1 remained unclimbed till the date as there was an expedition on 2010 Spring of Japanese team leaded by Yoshichika Yamada but due to the bad weather and high wind team was just able to gain 5850m height above Camp 2. Yesterday the team started climbing from Mid Camp (1st Camp), The name of Korean and Sherpa climbers has not been updated yet, Among 10 climbers from Seven Summit Treks 4 were only on the top yesterday and remaining are also aiming of summit today.
