Korean Team Reached Middle Camp yesterday and Planning for summit of Kyungya Ri 1 (6599 m.) in Langtang Region.

The team of 6 members and 4 Sherpas from Seven Summit Treks who reached their first camp (Mid Camp) yesterday are on final summit push of Kyungya Ri 1 also known as Kyangka Ri 1 which stands at an altitude of 6,599m (Co. LL- 28°17'48" , 85°40'03") in Langtang Himal Range of Rasuwa District. This Peak remains unclimbed till the date as there was an expedition on 2010 Spring of Japanese team leaded by Yoshichika Yamada but due to the bad weather and high wind team was just able to gain 5850m height above Camp 2.

SST Korean Kyungya RI I Exp. 2017 has been leaded by Heonmo Youn. According to Chhang Dawa Sherpa, Director at Seven Summit Treks, 6 Korean Climber Heonmo Youn, Oh Chi Whan, Han Sang Hum, Oh Minyoung, Byeon Junki and Yang Hanmo along with 4 Sherpas: Sange Furi, Pasang Nurbu, Dawa Nurbu and Lakpa Tenjing are aiming to stood on atop of Kyungya Ri 1 Peak today (15 Oct 2017) if the weather and route is not in good condition they will attempt to the summit in upcoming few days. “Yesterday they were at their first camp, the team is very strong and I hope for a successful bid.”
